الإغريق

-اهتمو  بحريتهم و حياتهم التي برهنت على أهمية الانسان وقدمو الأفكار المتميزة. 
-أوجد  الإغريق أسسًا للعلم والفلسفة؛ وذلك عن طريق البحث في التفسيرات المنطقية لما يحدث حولهم في العالم

-بدأت الحضارة الإغريقية في  التغير والتطور منذ ما يقرب من عام 2000 ق.م. آنذاك كانت قد وصلت مجموعات من الناس من الشمال، وأسسوا قرى زراعيةً صغيرةً. وكانت المجموعتان الرئيسيتان للشعب الإغريقي هما (الدوريين والأيونيين).

-طوّر الإغريق ثلاثة نماذج للأعمدة؛ النموذج الدوري البسيط، والأيوني الجميل، والكورنثي المزخرف

هضبة الاكروبول ( الأكروبوليس ) 

هضبة الاكروبول هو عبارة عن جبل صخري و كانت مسكن اليونانيون منذ القدم و التي اكتشفت اثارهم التي تعود إلى عام 3000 ق.م , و هي عبارة عن معابد و أسواق و  منازل و قصر للحاكم 

الأكروبوليس  كلمة إغريقية مؤلفة من كلمتين. والأكروبوليس واحد من أهم المعالم التي كان يجب أن تضمها أي دويلة مدينة إغريقية في العصر الكلاسيكي(قرن 8- 5 ق.م). وكما يدل عليه الاسم (المدينة المرتفعة) كان الأكروبوليس مركز المدينة السياسي  والمالي يما يتضمنه من منشآت حكومية ومعابد كانت تحتوي على خزانة الدولة.

يعتبر أكروبوليس أثينا من أهم و أشهر أكروبوليس أنشأه اليونانيون من بين جميع المدن اليونانية القديمة, الواقع في اقليم أتيكا, يرتفع ب152 مترا عن سطح البحر

معبد البارثينون:
 معبد إغريقي عريق بنى جبل يسمى الأكــــــــــــروبولس، يطل على أثينا. وقد صممه المهندسان الإغريقيان اكتينوس وكاليكراتس، وأشرف على أعمال النحت النحات الإغريقي فيدياس
